Porterhouse was employed by Shaylor Group to produce an SMM7 bill of quantities for the demolition and construction of a new educational facility.

Construction of New University Building, University of Wolverhampton, The Elite Centre of Manufacturing Skills, Tipton, £2 million

The works comprised the erection of a part two storey building (1200m2) facing Tipton Road, Tipton, situated on the frontage of Vaughan Trading Estate. The site had recently been levelled and foundations removed and hoarded off. The scheme dealt with tight constraints with site levels being utilised to differentiate between ECMS and the additional office space. The building comprised a mixture of the following; office rooms, classrooms, a workshop, practical rooms, toilets, technical centre and sand/metal laboratory.
